Mobile verification when purchasing crypto at a Coinstar kiosk
A valid mobile number provided by a cellular service provider (T-Mobile, AT&T, etc.) is required to open a CINQ by Coinstar powered by Zero Hash account. A valid cellular number is used to validate that you are a real person and secure your account.
We require two-factor authentication (or 2FA) for our Coinstar kiosks. This feature can provide an additional layer of security in protecting your cryptocurrency purchases.
How does 2FA work?
- Once you have clicked on the option for purchasing cryptocurrency from CINQ by Coinstar at the kiosk, enter the phone number associated with your CINQ by Coinstar account (or the phone number you intend to use for your account). Please note that if you do not have your mobile device with you or your mobile device is not active, you will not be able to continue.
- After you enter your mobile phone number, you will then be texted a six-digit code to the mobile phone number that was entered.
- Enter the six-digit code on the kiosk screen before the code expiration timer runs out.
